A studded PU leather collar with metal spikes along the band. It is a look, and it is built solidly enough to be an everyday collar rather than a costume piece.

What it does

  • Metal studs and spikes. Riveted through the band rather than glued on top, which is the difference between a collar that lasts a year and one that sheds studs in a month.
  • PU leather band. Holds its shape, wipes clean, and does not stiffen and crack the way untreated leather does when it gets wet.
  • Adjustable buckle. Standard pin buckle, set and forget.
  • Suits broad-necked breeds. The width sits well on Bullies, Staffies, Boxers and similar builds.

Fitting and honest limits

  • This listing is size M, which fits a 32–38 cm neck. Measure around the middle of your dog's neck with a soft tape before ordering. Two fingers should fit flat under the fitted collar.
  • Take it off for rough play. Spikes can catch on another dog's collar or mouth during wrestling, and a dog whose jaw gets hooked in a playmate's collar is a genuine emergency. Plain flat collars for daycare and dog parks.
  • Not for crate or kennel wear — studs catch on bars and mesh.
  • Check the rivets monthly and retire the collar if any stud works loose.
  • PU leather is not real leather and will eventually craze with heavy sun exposure.
