What it does
- Two bowls, one hopper. Food is split between two stainless bowls, so two pets eat at the same time without one standing over the other.
- Up to 12 meals a day. Set the times and portions in the app — useful for a cat on a weight plan, or a dog who does better on small frequent meals.
- App control from anywhere. Change a schedule, dispense an extra meal, or check the feeding history from work.
- Low food alert. Tells you before the hopper empties rather than after.
- Stainless bowls lift out. Dishwasher-friendly, and they do not scratch and hold odour the way plastic does.
- 4 litre capacity. Several days of food for most cats and small dogs.
Good to know before you rely on it
- Dry food only. Wet food will jam the mechanism and spoil in the hopper.
- Very small, very large or oddly shaped kibble can bridge or jam. Run the feeder for several days with your actual food while you are home, before you ever leave it to feed unattended.
- Never leave a pet alone with only an automatic feeder for company. Mechanisms jam, power goes out, Wi-Fi drops. Someone should physically check on your animals every day you are away — the feeder is a convenience, not a pet sitter.
- App control needs your home Wi-Fi to be up. The scheduled meals are stored on the device, but anything you change remotely needs a connection.
- Watch a determined cat. Some learn to shake or open a hopper, and a jammed lid is a fast way to an empty stomach or an overfed pet.
