Round Plush Bed for Dogs & Cats – Calming Anti-Anxiety Pet Bed

A round donut bed in long-pile plush, with a cartoon face stitched onto the outside of the rim. The raised walls are the point — a pet that curls up in a ring can rest their chin on the rim and have something against their back on every side.

What it does

• Raised rim all the way round. High enough to lean on and to block a draught along the floor.
• Long-pile plush, inside and out. Deep shaggy pile over a soft fill. It is a warm bed rather than a cool one — worth knowing for a heavy-coated dog in a Queensland summer.
• Circular shape. Suits the pets who turn three times and curl into a ball, which is most cats and a lot of small dogs.
• Cartoon face on the front. Two large embroidered eyes, a mouth and cheeks on the outside of the rim. It is a novelty look, not a plain bed — it will read as one in a photograph and in your lounge room.
• Three sizes, five colours. Grey, beige, bean red, white and black.

Good to know

• Measure your pet lying curled — nose to base of tail with their legs tucked — and choose an internal diameter a little larger. Nest beds are bought too small more often than any other kind.
• The supplier has not published a rim height for each size, and we are not going to print a number we cannot stand behind. Email us before you order if you need the exact height and we will get it from them.
• A pet who sleeps stretched flat on their side will hang over the edge of a donut bed. A flat mat suits them better.
• A high rim makes it harder for a very old or arthritic pet to climb in. Watch how yours manages the first few days.
• Long pile mats down where a pet sleeps most. Shake it out and finger-comb the pile after washing to bring it back up.

Machine wash cold on gentle and dry flat. Reshape the rim while damp so it sets upright, and comb the pile out once it is dry.
