Two hand mitts for lifting shed fur off furniture, clothing and car seats. Each one is a padded oval about 16 × 12 cm with an elastic strap across the back — you slide your hand under the strap rather than pulling on a glove.

What it does

  • Two mitts in the pack. One dark, one light. Use one in each hand, or keep the second while the first is in the wash.
  • Dual-direction pile. Rub back and forth over the fabric and the loose hair gathers into a strip you can lift off in one piece — this one is meant to be worked in both directions, not stroked one way.
  • Gets into seams. The pad is stiff enough to push into seat joins and along skirting, where a lint roller skids over the top.
  • Washable and reusable. Machine washable, so there are no adhesive sheets to buy and throw away.
  • Grooms as well as cleans. Stroke your pet with it and the loose coat comes away on the pad.

Good to know

  • These are flat mitts, not five-finger gloves. You cannot pinch or grip with them; for tight corners a hand tool works better.
  • Clear the pad once it loads up — a mitt full of hair stops picking up.
  • It reduces the hair in your house. It does not reduce shedding, which is normal and seasonal.

Care

Pull the hair off after each use. Machine wash cold and hang to dry — do not tumble dry, which flattens the pile that does the work.
