Foam steps that let a small or ageing pet get onto the bed or the couch without jumping down from it. The landing is what does the damage — repeated drops onto a hard floor are hard on the front legs and spine of short-legged breeds and older dogs.

What it does

  • High-density foam core. Firm enough to hold its shape under a pet mid-climb, soft enough that the step gives slightly underfoot.
  • Non-slip cover. The outer fabric is textured so paws grip on the way up and the whole unit does not skate across floorboards or tiles.
  • Cover unzips and washes. Slip it off and put it through the machine when it gets muddy or hairy.
  • Four heights. Two steps for a low couch through to four steps for a tall bed — pick the one that lands level with the furniture you actually own.
  • Light enough to move. Foam, not timber, so you can shift it between rooms with one hand.

Fit and honest limits

  • Measure the height of your bed or couch and choose the size that finishes level with it or slightly below. Steps that finish well short of the furniture do not get used.
  • Maximum pet weight: not yet confirmed for this model. Email info@petnexashop.com with your pet's weight before ordering and we will check it rather than guess. This matters — the steps are a load-bearing item and we would rather answer the question than publish a number we cannot stand behind.
  • Suits cats, small and medium dogs, puppies, short-legged breeds such as Dachshunds and Corgis, and older pets with sore joints.
  • Not a ramp for a car boot and not for outdoor use — the foam absorbs water and the cover is not weatherproof.
  • Most pets need a few days of coaxing with treats before they use steps on their own.

Care

Unzip the cover and machine wash it cold. Air dry it — do not tumble dry. Spot clean the foam core only; do not soak it.
