Stainless Steel Feeding Bowl with Wooden Stand

Stainless steel bowls set into a raised timber stand. Lifting the bowl off the floor brings the food up towards the animal, so they are not craning down at it — which older cats and short-necked dogs notice.

What it does

• Raises the bowls. A more upright eating position, easier on the neck and shoulders of an older or stiff animal.
• Stainless steel inserts. They lift out to wash, do not scratch, and do not hold odour the way plastic does.
• Timber frame. Heavy enough that a determined cat pushing at breakfast does not skate it across the kitchen.
• Rounded edges. Smooth rims, so nothing catches a mouth or a chin at bowl level.
• Three configurations. Single bowl, twin bowl, or the lifting-frame version.

Good to know

• Sized for cats, puppies and small to medium pets. Measure the height against your animal — the rim should sit around chest height, not at their chin.
• Raised bowls and bloat: the evidence about elevated feeding and bloat risk in large deep-chested dogs is unsettled and has pointed both ways. If you have a Great Dane, Setter, Weimaraner or similar, ask your vet before switching to a raised bowl.
• Timber and standing water do not mix. Wipe up spills rather than letting them sit.
• Wash the steel bowls daily. A water bowl gets a biofilm within a day or two even when it looks clean.
