Heavy-Duty Braided Dog Leash with Padded Handle

A braided nylon lead with a padded handle, built for dogs that pull hard enough to make a flat webbing lead uncomfortable to hold.

What it does

• Braided rather than flat. A braided rope lead holds its shape, resists fraying, and is far less inviting to chew than flat webbing.
• Padded handle. A soft non-slip grip spreads the load across your palm instead of cutting a line into it when your dog lunges.
• Metal clasp. Solid hardware at the end that takes the load, which is where cheap leads fail.
• Holds up outdoors. Hiking, camping, wet grass, sand — braided nylon dries fast and does not stiffen.

Fitting and honest limits

• Use it with a harness for a dog who pulls. A strong lead on a collar just moves the force to your dog's throat.

• A lead is a wear item. Check the stitching at the clasp and the handle every few weeks, and replace it at the first sign of fray — leads fail at the worst possible moment.
