Honest limits

• Use a harness for a dog who pulls hard. A strong lead on a collar puts that force through the throat.
• Leather and water are not friends. It will survive rain, but a lead that is regularly soaked and not dried will stiffen and eventually crack.
• Do not leave a leather lead where a bored dog can chew it — they will, and it is a single sitting.
• Check the stitching at the clasp every few weeks and retire the lead when it starts to pull apart.
• Not a tie-out. Do not tether an unattended dog with it.
