A pet dryer with a temperature readout on the back and two heads — a narrow nozzle for drying and a pin-brush head that clips on so you can dry and brush out in the same pass.
What it does
- Set the air temperature, and see it. The display shows the outlet temperature and the controls step it between about 35°C and 65°C. The supplier says a sensor re-checks the outlet every 100 seconds; we have not measured that ourselves.
- Two heads. A concentrator nozzle for wet coat, and a pin-brush head that clips over it for lifting and separating the coat as it dries — which is how a coat ends up fluffy rather than flat and still damp underneath.
- 40,000 rpm motor at 300 W. Around 18 m/s of airflow, without the roar of a household hairdryer.
- Light in the hand. About 400 g, which matters over the twenty minutes it takes to dry a full coat.
- Tough housing. ABS, nylon and 30% glass fibre — heat and impact resistant.
- Two colours. White and purple.
Good to know
- Check the plug before you use it. The supplier's own product photographs show this dryer packed with a universal travel adapter and a loose pin adapter rather than a fitted Australian plug. A mains appliance sold here should arrive with an approved Australian plug and carry an RCM mark. We are confirming both with the supplier and will publish the answer here. Email us first if you would rather have that confirmation before you order.
- Never point hot air at one spot. Keep the head moving. Pet skin burns faster than you would expect, and a dog cannot tell you the air is too hot.
- Start at the low end of the temperature range. Check the air on the inside of your own wrist before it goes near your pet, and again partway through.
- Never blow air into the ears, the eyes or up the nose.
- Introduce it gradually. Run it in the room, then at a distance, before you use it on a wet, already-unhappy animal.
