Dog Life Jacket | Adjustable Reflective Buoyancy Vest

A buoyancy vest for dogs, with foam panels through the body, a lifting handle across the back, and reflective detail on the outer fabric. For boats, kayaks, rivers and the surf — anywhere your dog could end up in water deeper or rougher than they planned.

What it does

• Foam flotation panels. Distributed through the vest to hold a dog level in the water rather than nose-down, which is what tires a swimming dog fastest.
• Lifting handle. A reinforced handle across the back — the difference between hauling a wet 30 kg dog over the side of a boat and not being able to.
• Adjustable straps with quick-release buckles. Fits a range of chest depths and comes off fast when you are done.
• Water-resistant Oxford outer. Dries quickly and stands up to salt and repeated use.
• Reflective detailing. Helps you spot your dog in low light and dark water.

• A buoyancy vest is not a substitute for supervision. It helps a dog stay afloat and stay level. It will not keep an exhausted, panicking or injured dog safe on its own, and it does not make a non-swimmer a swimmer.
• It is not certified to any human or marine flotation standard, and we make no such claim. There is no Australian standard for dog buoyancy aids.
• Test it in shallow, calm water first and watch how your dog floats in it before you take them anywhere with current, chop or a drop-off.
• Rip currents, cold water and boat wash beat any vest. Keep your dog on a boat deck rather than in rough water.
• Sizing matters more than anything else here. A vest that slides is a vest that will come over the head in the water. Measure your dog's chest girth just behind the front legs and their weight, and email info@petnexashop.com — we will confirm the fit before you order rather than have you guess.

Rinse in fresh water after salt or chlorine and hang it to dry in the shade. Salt left in the foam breaks it down.
