Gradient Turtleneck Dog Sweater for Small Dogs & Cats

A sleeveless knitted turtleneck in a wool blend, for the small dogs and cats who genuinely feel the cold — whippets, Frenchies, dachshunds, thin-coated cats and old animals who sit close to the heater.

What it does

• Turtleneck collar. Covers the throat and the top of the chest, which is where a thin-coated dog loses heat first.
• Sleeveless cut. Nothing around the front legs to rub or restrict the shoulder — the usual complaint with knitted pet jumpers.
• Wool-blend knit. Warm without being heavy, with enough stretch to pull on over the head.
• Relaxed hem. Sits over the back without riding up when they walk.
• Three gradient colours. Pink, blue and grey.

Fitting

• Measure chest girth first, then back length — collar to base of tail — and check both against the size chart. Chest is the measurement that decides fit.
• If your pet is between sizes, or broad through the chest, take the larger size.
• Never leave a pet in clothing unattended. Knitwear catches on crates, furniture and outdoor fittings.
• Take it off indoors if the room is warm. Dogs shed heat far less efficiently than we do, and a jumper on a heated floor is too much.
• Check under the front legs after the first few wears for any rubbing.
